How to Legally Fly a Drone in Singapore
Flying a drone in Singapore is regulated to ensure safety and security. Follow these steps to comply with the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) requirements.
1. Register Your Drone
If your drone weighs more than 250 grams, you must register it with CAAS.
- Age Requirement: You must be at least 16 years old to register. If under 16, a parent or legal guardian must register on your behalf.
- Registration Process: Purchase a registration label for $25 and complete the online registration via the UA Portal.
- Affix the Label: Place the registration label on your drone as per CAAS guidelines.
Operating an unregistered drone over 250g is an offence and may result in a fine up to $10,000 or imprisonment up to 6 months.
